LEADERSHIP isn’t the same as MANAGEMENT.
A GROUP of PEOPLE isn’t the same as a TEAM.
Practical Magic for Achieving Seemingly “Impossible” Results.
Kimberly Wiefling helps organizations achieve what SEEMS impossible, but is merely difficult. How? By turning managers into leaders and groups of people into real teams through her unique “WorkShocks” – highly engaging, experiential, interactive “Learning Laboratories” where real change happens, leading to meaningful and measurable business results.
DEEP EXPERIENCE with GLOBAL COMPANIES: Kimberly has worked all over the US, Europe and Asia, traveling to Japan ~100 times to help Japanese companies globalize. Her superpower is bringing people with diverse backgrounds and cultures together, across borders and boundaries of every kind, to achieve what none could do alone. See details of her work with her partners at Silicon Valley Alliances collaboration here.
A TECHNOLOGIST with HUMAN SKILLS: A physicist by education, she realized long ago the limits of technology devoid of human skills – the so-called “touchy feely” aspects of working in teams so vital to success, and so frequently overlooked. Kimberly’s mentor, Dr. Edgar Schein, has been a guiding influence on her work to transform business results through practical, sensible approaches. Kimberly is a founder of the Silicon Valley Engineering Leadership Community Meetup (formerly SVForum EL SIG).
BUSINESS RESULTS FOCUSED: Kimberly facilitates highly engaging organizational change and team effectiveness workshops based on her “Possibilities Toolbox”, Scrappy Design Thinking, Scrappy Project Management, and Inspired Company Cultures. Her intensive behavior-changing “learning laboratories”, which she playfully refers to as “workShocks”, directly translate into business results. Her latest book is “Inspired Business Cultures – Discover Your DNA, Engage Your People, and Design Your Future”.
SPECIALIZING in CROSS-FUNTIONAL AND CROSS CULTURAL TEAMS: Kimberly has worked globally with people from every corporate function, and from over 50 different countries. Her clients include many well-known global brands in diverse industries.
FROM STARTUPS to the GLOBAL 1000: Kimberly has extensive experience working with global companies and startups, one of which was acquired by Google, and another that was bootstrapped to seven figure annual revenues. She has been personally involved in over a dozen Silicon Valley startups.
MAKING a DIFFERENCE: Kimberly is passionate about making a meaningful difference by working with organizations, individuals and teams committed to solving the problems of Our World – profitably and thus sustainably. She is on the founding team of the Silicon Valley World Resources SimCenter Project.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT is the result of PURPOSEFUL WORK in an environment of TRUST, not free lunches and other perks. What’s more meaningful than making a positive difference to Our World?! What is the future of our Planet Earth? Will governments solve our most pressing problems? Personally, I strongly believe that our best hope for the future lies in helping global companies solve our problems – profitably, and thus sustainably. That’s why my colleagues and I work with global business teams – to solve important problems that seem impossible, but are merely difficult. As an active advisor to “Inspired Organizational Cultures“, I continue to deepen my understanding about how to design and develop great organizations that attract and retain passionate people.
GLOBAL TEAMS: We help “groups of people” rapidly become “true teams” by building trust and tackling challenges worthy of them, so that they can achieve what would be impossible for any individual acting alone. And we help these teams accelerate their progress by applying common sense principles proven effective globally in the real business world. Plus, we make it fun. Bonus!
OUR CLIENTS: I mainly consult with Silicon Valley companies and globalizing Japanese companies in the Global 1000 companies, facilitating intensive global leadership workshops for cross-cultural teams.
OUR WORK: Includes keynote speaking, consulting, coaching, and facilitating leadership, creativity, innovation, team effectiveness, project management, and execution excellence workshops.
Change has never been as simple as taking a class or learning information. If it were, no one would smoke! As discussed in the book “Change the Culture, Change the Game”:
EXPERIENCE –> BELIEFS –> ACTIONS –> RESULTS
If you want to change the results you are getting you must change the beliefs that your people hold, and that is done through changes the experiences they have. That’s why our work focuses on highly engaging, experiential workshops that change mindset, and lead to more effective actions and new futures.
Are you getting the results you want?
Whatever results you are getting, I guarantee you that the system is perfectly designed to deliver these results. Here’s an example:
“In any economic climate, the ability to attract and retain talented people is one of the greatest advantages any company can possess. My purpose is to transform the leading workplaces of this Valley into thriving, abundant and life-affirming communities that enable us to work in our right livelihoods, sustain us abundantly, and contribute to the greater good of the community in which we live. By so doing I believe that we will create a competitive advantage that cannot be duplicated.”
If you want an ordinary, safe, politically correct consultant . . . look elsewhere! Kimberly will challenge you. Kimberly uses all of her energy and creativity to enable you to achieve the business results you need. These videos give you a dose of her style. If these are too wild and intense for you, you sure won’t want to hire her – 90% of people won’t, but those who do WILL succeed!
