Sometimes, a bad night’s sleep is inevitable, although none of us enjoy it. Whether it’s because you suffer from insomnia, or something has happened during the night that has kept you awake, there are a multitude of different reasons as to why sometimes, we just can’t manage to get a good night of beauty sleep. For many people who suffer from a night with minimal sleep, getting up and going to work the next morning is the worst part – and by the time the end of the day has come, they are literally falling asleep on their desk. Thankfully, we’ve put together a number of great ways in which you can stay awake if you ever find yourself in that position.

High Energy Foods

If you’ve had barely any sleep and are dreading going to work in the morning, the best thing you can do is to eat a breakfast that is high in energy and will give you the boost that you need in order to keep you going until it’s time for lunch. Certain breakfast cereals are great for giving you an energy boost, especially fortified cereals such as all bran, which is high in Vitamin B12, a vitamin which helps to boost your body’s energy metabolism.

Stay Hydrated

It’s always important to stay hydrated, but even more so if you’re trying to get through the day on little or no sleep. You should already be aiming to drink around 6-8 glasses of water per day, and you should be aiming for at least this especially when you’ve not had any sleep. Water is vital to the internal workings of your body and helps to clear toxins out of your system that may be slowing your body down. So, if you’re heading off to work on only a couple of hours sleep, take a big bottle of water with you.

Energy Supplements and Nootropics

If eating high energy foods and getting plenty of fluids just still isn’t doing it for you, there are a number of energy supplements and nootropic pills that you can take in order to give yourself that extra boost that you need and help you to get through the working day on not much sleep. From over the counter energy supplements such as Berroca to prescription pills such as Modafinil, the supplements that you choose to take will depend on the severity of your tiredness, and any advice given to you by a health professional. If you are thinking of purchasing nootropics you can buy Pramiracetam, Modafinil, Noopept and other nootropics online, however it’s advisable that you seek the advice of a doctor or other health professional before you begin to take any new medications, especially if you are already taking medication for any other conditions.

If you’re experiencing sleepless nights almost every night, you may be suffering from insomnia or other conditions that are best treated by a doctor. Although these tips may help you in some way they are intended for people who’ve had a one off sleepless night – so if every night is a sleepless night for you, speak to your GP.
